National Native Energy Agenda 2009

NATIONAL ALASKA NATIVE AND NATIVE AMERICA ENERGY AGENDA 2009

The President-elect Obama will be taking great strides in the area of alternative energy for America. Several Tribes ahead of the curve by implementing alternative energy usage and implementation through feasibility studies conducted for their particular reservation settings. Next steps for the Tribes to give consideration to is the creation of tribal energy parks using combination of alternative energy usage like Solar, Wind, Wave, Falling Water or Water and Biomass. All of these are readily available on any tribal lands.

In Alaska the seafood processing plants have fish waste which is a environmental problem and currently it is ground up into minute particles and dumped into the ocean. This can readily be turned into alternative energy. In Oklahoma Cherokee Nation had to pay huge fines for their tribal landfill yet all of the landfill can be turned into energy and durable good that can replace aluminum, copper and steel. There are nine major industries that use aluminum, copper and steel so the Tribes can for manufacturing companies, fabrication of metal companies and other industries to provide necessary parts, goods or services to the nine major industries.

Several tribes have completed their energy feasibility studies to see what alternative energy can be used on their reservation setting they should look at establishing energy parks. To not only produce needed energy for America but sell needed energy to utility companies. Producing hydrogen will be a major industry for the next generation of automobiles will use as fuel hydrogen, gas or diesel. Some companies gearing up to put into place hydrogen-fueling stations and right now there are only private or city own hydrogen-fueling stations available to only private companies or cities that have such facilities. Again, some companies looking for distributorship for alternative energy products and goods for this will be the coming industry for the future. Some non-profits in the alternative energy field are welling to pass on the knowledge, know-how and training to Tribes, Indian Country, USA and assist them in establising their alternative energy sites. Every Tribe in Indian Country, USA has solar, wind, wave, falling water and biomas resources to accomplish and achieve a sustainable tribal energy independence.

The Southwestern States Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas ae ideal places to establish solar energy parks. Several States can use Wind Power. Coastal States can develop Wind energy Parks. Several Coastal States can have Wave Energy Parks. All combined usage meet or exceed energy needs of America and great still less Dependence upon fossil fuel. (Energy Independence, "The Solar Hydrogen Civilization," pages 16,17 by Dr. Roy McAlister) This means that several Tribes in Indian Country, USA can take the lead in alternative energy usage and become the main suppliers of alternative energy and help lessen America's use of fossil fuel and create a cleaner environment. In Dr. Roy McAlister's book he writes, "Our current economy drains natural resources and pollutes the environment. It can be restructed to provide prosperity without pollution by replacing fossil fuels with energy from renewable sources. Hydrogen is the safest. most convenient, and cost-effective way to deliver renewable energy.l Hydrogen runs the stars, provides energy for the tiniest to the largest forms of life on Earth, and it can help Civilization become much more friendly and willing to make the appropriate investments needed to achieve future prosperity."

Conversely, hydrogen can help the Tribes of Mother Earth for them to create and achive subtantial tribal wealth to put a end to our Tribal social and economic plights. We have seen and witnessed the up and down prices for gas, fuel and fossil fuel and it is time to show America their are solutions to energy needs and position ourselves to be in the very center of commerce and build strong tribal economies. We can once and for all control our tribal destinies and provide for the social and economic needs of our tribal people.
